Squirrel & Crow

Squirrel & Crow is exactly what it appears to be; any humor or strokes of brilliance are entirely accidental.

These characters originate from several places: on the campus of Indiana University watching the squirrels and crows fight one another, on a scrap piece of paper sitting in the back row of a German language course, over several cups of coffee at the Waffle House of America, Inc. (a convincing knockoff of the popular chain of Waffle House's spread across the country), but ultimately, and perhaps most importantly, Squirrel & Crow begins and ends at the tip of Blake Kendall's pen.

Squirrel & Crow is a collaborative work between artist Blake Kendall and writer Bill Kloppenburg. The cartoon is published two or three times each week in the Indiana Daily Student on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington. Blake and Bill, while both heavily invested in the creation of the comic strip, are both masters students studying vocal performance at the Jacob's School of Music.
